Mass/corporate media has basically censored the Julian Assange story from public consciousness.  Yet, history will doubtless prove this case to be one of the most important legal cases of our generation because, as award-winning investigative journalist Max Blumenthal reported recently:  This is the trial of the century because not only Julian Assange is on trial; the freedom of the press is on trial right now in the U.K., with the U.S. Empire in firm control of the judge’s gavel.

Meanwhile, in the U.S., President Trump is poised to install his third right-wing pick to the Supreme Court, as armed right-wing militia types are allowed to undermine Black Lives Matter protests against killer cops. The U.S. hasn’t seemed so divided since the Civil War and civil liberties and the U.S. Constitution continues to be eroded. Julian Assange being extradited would be another example of the subversion of the rule of law, which Naomi Wolf wrote about in The End of America. The U.S. must not extradite Julian Assange, but instead award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
