480px-Black_upLUMPENPROLETARIAT—It’s a feeling.  (So, turn it up.)

Check out the debut album, Black Up, published by Shabazz Palaces on the Sub Pop record label in 2011.  Ishmael Butler relocated from the east coast to Seattle, ready to rattle lesser MCs.  Personally, this is the coolest album on Sup Pop since Nirvana’s Bleach.

  • Tendai Maraire – instrumentation
